WHAT CHURCH IS FOR

As Jesus is the head of His church, and all believers are the body of Christ. What we call the church building is where the body of Christ comes together. It is for the believers, those who have admitted that they are a sinner and have repented of their sins and that Jesus died for them, cleansing them from their sins, and will commit their sins no more. It is for the saved, God’s children to worship Him, learn His word and sing praises to Him.  And report all God has done through them. It is the assembly of His saints.

8 LORD, I have loved the habitation of Your house,
And the place where Your glory dwells.
9 Do not gather my soul with sinners,
Nor my life with bloodthirsty men,
10 In whose hands is a sinister scheme,
And whose right hand is full of bribes.
11 But as for me, I will walk in my integrity;
Redeem me and be merciful to me.
12 My foot stands in an even place;
In the congregations I will bless the LORD.
PSALM  26 : 8 – 12

5 And the heavens will praise Your wonders, O LORD;
Your faithfulness also in the assembly of the saints.
PSALM  89 : 5

7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints,
And to be held in reverence by all those around Him.
PSALM  89 : 7

1 Praise the LORD!
I will praise the LORD with my whole heart,
In the assembly of the upright and in the congregation.
PSALM  111 : 1

47 praising God and having favor with all the people.
And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.
ACTS  2 : 4

27 Now when they had come and gathered the church together,
they reported all that God had done with them,
and that He had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles.
ACTS  14 : 27

12 saying:   “ I will declare Your name to My brethren;
In the midst of the assembly I will sing praise to You.”
HEBREWS  2 : 12

WHAT IS THE CHURCH

The church is not a building, it is God’s people. All who are born again through Jesus Christ are members of Christ’s body, His church. And that the bodies of all believers are the temple of God, which Jesus is the head of. The church is not a place for the unsaved or the unchurched sinners.

4 For as we have many members in one body,
but all the members do not have the same function,
5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ,
and individually members of one another.
ROMANS  12 : 4, 5

19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple
of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God,
and you are not your own?
1 CORINTHIANS 6 : 19

12 For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members
of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.
1 CORINTHIANS  12 : 12

26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it;
or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.
1 CORINTHIANS  12 : 26, 27

22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him
to be head over all things to the church,
23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
EPHESIANS  1 : 22, 23

WHAT CHURCH IS NOT FOR

It is not for the unsaved, unchurched or sinners. It is not there to entertain the masses. The church is Christ’s body, therefore the righteous should not have fellowship with the unrighteous in God’s house, His church. Yet these false teachers boldly invite known sinners, the unchurched into the body of Christ Jesus, His church  Some churches are even ordaining known sinners to head  God’s churches.  Run from these churches, for God said that they are deserving of death, but also those who approve, and if you stay, you are willingly approving them.

5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,
Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the LORD knows the way of the righteous,
But the way of the ungodly shall perish.
PSALM  1 : 5, 6

27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church,
not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she
should be holy and without blemish.
EPHESIANS  5 : 27

31 Now we know that God does not hear sinners;
but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him.
JOHN  9 : 31

32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God,
that those who practice such things are deserving of death,
not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
ROMANS  1 : 32

BEWARE OF FALSE SHEPHERDS

If you are not studying God’s word, you will not know if the leaders in your church follow God’s vision or their vision. These false teachers will use scripture, philosophy and empty deceit to reach their vision, their goals. They are telling people what they want to hear. That there is no hell, no wrath of God and no judgment, all will come to God, all are saved, and God’s kingdom is now, not at the coming of our Lord Jesus.

If you’re studying God’s word, you know this is not true. Notice when they invite people to come to Jesus and offer the salvation prayer. They tell them Jesus washes away their sin, but they never tell them that they must admit they are a sinner, and they must also repent of their sins. They whitewash the gospel and the prayer of salvation.

13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming
themselves into apostles of Christ.
14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves
into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.
2 CORINTHIANS 11 : 13 – 15

3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to
their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;
4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.
2 TIMOTHY  4 : 3, 4

They are allowing known sinners to shepherd God’s flock, His church, His Son’s body.  They may teach there is no judgment, but they will face Jesus on judgment day.

22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in
Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me,
you who practice lawlessness!’
MATTHEW 7 : 22, 23

1 I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ,
who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom:
2 TIMOTHY 4 : 1

30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked,
but now commands all men everywhere to repent,
ACTS 17 : 30

9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness,
but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that
all should come to repentance.
2 PETER 3 : 9

THE WINDS OF DOCTRINE

In my 57 years I have never seen so many churches bringing in strange and destructive doctrines into God’s house.

The first thing we saw was they hired a Transitional Pastor. This type of pastor is brought into change the structure, the by-laws of a church. Pastors who believe in this change are told to take up to 7 years to make the changes so the people will not be upset by these pastor’s vision, purpose and goals, disregarding what God’s word says God’s church should be. People are being asked to sign a covenant with the church leaders giving them total control over them bringing God’s people back into bondage. And those faithful Christians who do not buy-in to their covenant, their vision, purpose, their goals are asked to leave.

Thing you should look for in your church. They change the way the church looks or they want to build a new one. No pews, chairs only. No piano or organ, set up a band. No hymn books, put up a projection screen. Change the music of old hymns, more up beat. They must be able to tell a good story to entertain people. Put in a cafĂ© and monitors so people can sit with their coffee and don’t actually have to come all the way into the service. Fill the church with those who are called the unchurched, the new word for sinners. They are now welcoming and filling Christ’s body with sin

22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head
over all things to the church,
23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
EPHESIANS 1 : 22 - 23

14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro
and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men,
in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,
EPHESIANS 4 : 14

And yes, people are flocking to these churches, for their leaders are of this world and the world hears them.

4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them,
because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
5 They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world,
and the world hears them.
6 We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God
does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
1 JOHN 4 : 4 - 6
