THEY APPEAR GODLY

THEY  APPEAR  GODLY

Know without Jesus
They’ll be the stranger knocking
Heaven they can’t get in
For God they are mocking

If you read God’s word you’d know
Believers they might appear
Denying the Father Son and Spirit
The truth you’ll never hear

When it comes to God’s word
Some churches pick and choose
Twisting God’s scriptures
God’s truth they refuse

Telling you what you want to hear
Spreading Satan’s lies
They appear to be so godly
But it’s only a disguise

The Great Apostasy
Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some
will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving
spirits and doctrines of demons,
1 TIMOTHY 4:1

14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into
an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers
also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness,
whose end will be according to their works.
2 CORINTHIANS 11:14-15

But evil men and impostors will grow worse
and worse, deceiving and being deceived.
2 TIMOTHY 3:13

as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things,
in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught
and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they
do also the rest of the Scriptures.
2 PETER 3:16

Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty
deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic
principles of the world, and not according to Christ.

SHOUT FROM THE ROOF

SHOUT  FROM  THE  ROOF

Using the Lord’s name in vain
You realize they’re lost
We know the price is hell
Their soul will be the cost

We support missionaries overseas
But our neighbors we ignore
What are we so afraid of
They won’t like us anymore

It’s easier to talk to strangers
Than our family and friends
But when all is said and done
We know how it ends

All God and Jesus did for us
His Holy Spirit is our proof
He comes and lives within us
We should shout it from the roof

“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for
the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
EXODUS 20:7

15 And He said to them, “Go into all the worldand preach the
gospel to every creature.16 He who believes and is baptized
will be saved;but he who does not believe will be condemned.
MARK 16:15-16

Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God,
who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.
2 CORINTHIANS 5:5

and for me, that utterance may be given to me,
that I may open my mouth boldly to make
known the mystery of the gospel,
