RESOLUTIONS

RESOLUTIONS

A New Years resolution

It’s as easy as can be

If you plan to get to heaven

Jesus said you come to me

Remembering what Jesus did

He did it just for you

He said you come to Me

I’ll make you all brand new

He came to save the lost

That’s always been His goal

Ask and you’ll receive

And He’ll renew your soul

So as you plan your New Year

Ask what you can do

By serving our Lord Jesus

For all He did for you

For what you do to others

Jesus said you did to Me

When you serve your brothers

You’re really serving Me

And the King will answer and say to them,

‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did

it to one of the least of these My brethren,

you did it to Me.’

CHRISTMAS BELLS

CHRISTMAS  BELLS

When you hear a bell ring

They say an angel gets his wings

God gave him wings from the start

He created perfect beings

The Christmas bells that ring

It’s Jesus they ring for

God said through His Son

A soul He will restore

Christmas is a time

To reflect on who we are

With Jesus in our hearts

He’ll be our guiding star

As  you  think  of  Christmas

Don’t forget the reason why

Jesus saved us from our sins

To live with Him on high

So when you hear a bell ring

Remember God is in control

For every time that bell rings

He saved another soul

He restores my soul;

He leads me in the paths of righteousness

For His name’s sake.

PSALM 23:3

CHRISTMAS ALL YEAR

CHRISTMAS  ALL YEAR

Christmas is a time

When you spread a lot of cheer

But what Jesus did for us

Should last throughout the year

We celebrate His birth

The honor He deserves

But celebrate all He did

To get your place reserved

It’s love that Jesus taught us

Do you feel it in the street

He said now go and share it

With the people you will meet

It’s not just another holiday

It’s Christ we celebrate

He died and rose to heaven

He opened heaven’s gate

It’s Christmas we enjoy

But it’s Jesus that we love

The joy we get from Christmas

He was sent from God above

In this the love of God was manifested toward us,

that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world,

that we might live through Him.

CREMATION

CREMATION

This  is  your  body

The   one  God  gave  you

What  will  you  do

When  with  it  your  through

Knowing  it’s  God’s  temple

Would  you  burn  it  down

Your  excuse  you  say

God’s  no  longer  around

God  made  us  a  promise

This  body  He’d  raise

For  it’s  with  this  body

God  we  worship  and  praise

We  bear  man’s  image

Who  came  from  the  dust

Also  the  heavenly  man

He’ll  change  me  I’ll  trust

While  this  body  still  lives

Corruptible  it  will  be

I’ll  be  raised  incorruptible

For  Jesus  changed  me

Or do you not know that your body is the temple

of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have

from God, and you are not your own?

1 CORINTHIANS 6:19

49  And as we have borne the image of

the man of dust, we shall also bear

the image of the heavenly Man.

1 CORINTHIANS  15 : 49

Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not

all sleep, but we shall all be changed-- 52  in a moment,

in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.  For the

trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised

incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

1 CORINTHIANS 15:51,52

SOME WENT HOME

SOME  WENT  HOME

While  all  those  nasty  people

Keep  living  on  and  on

They’ll  fight  for  every  breathe

Thinking  death  they  can  con

Why  do  they  live  so  long

God  gives  them  every  chance

But  surely  death  will  come

Then  God  will  take  a  stance

God  might  have  given  them

Time  to  turn  around

To  repent  and  turn  to  Him

Or  hell  is  where  they’re  bound

To  be  with  God  in  heaven

Or  on  this  earth  to  roam

Good  people  just  don’t  die  young

They  simply  just  went  home

13 These all died in faith, not having received the

promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them,

embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims

of the earth.14  for those who say such things declare plainly

that they seek a homeland 15 And truly if they had called to mind that

country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity

to return. 16  But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country.

Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God,

for He has prepared a city for them.

PAST MEETS FUTURE

PAST  MEETS  FUTURE

The  past  and  the  future

Together  they’re  coming

Just  look  all  around

How  fast  time  is  running

When  the  gospel  is  spread

You  know  time  is  near

Are  you  ready  to  meet  him

Or  is  it  Jesus  you’ll  fear

It’s  a  new  beginning

Not  the  end

Look  to  the  clouds

It's  Jesus  He'll  send

For  the  past  meets  the  future

When  they  hear  Jesus  call

The  dead  will  rise  first

Then  we’ll  follow  them  all

16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven

with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the

trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.

17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught

up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord

in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

SHE’S IN CONTROL

SHE’S  IN  CONTROL

She  took  the  test

And  learned  she’s  expecting

This  life  inside

She  won’t  be  accepting

She’s  heard  the  devil’s  lie

It’s  her  body  she’s  in  control

The  last  thing  this  world  needs

Is  this  life  and  another  soul

She  believes  she’s  been  empowered

Deciding  who’ll  live  or  die

She’s  forgotten  who  holds  all  power

It’s  Jesus  who  lives  on  high

She  cries  it’s  my  body

But  not  the  child’s  inside

A  woman  denies  her  own  child

Then  carries  that  child  to  die

A  child  who  wants  to  live

A  mother  who  wouldn’t  share

What  has  this  world  come  to

God’s  heart  is  in  despair

16 These six things the Lord hates,
Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
17 A proud look, A lying tongue,
Hands that shed innocent blood,
18 A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that are swift in running to evil,

PROVERBS 6:16-18

If we confess our sins, He is faithful

and just to forgive us our sins and to

cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

DON’T WAIT

DON’T  WAIT

Don’t  think  you  know

What  it’s  like  to  go  without

Or  to  have  no  home

And  just  wander  about

Jesus  made  it  quite  clear

When  you  see  there’s  a  need

He  said  if  you  have  two

Give  one  as  His  seed

For  our  lives  are  His

And  all  that  we  hold

To  share  with  each  other

That’s  what  God  told

Now  if  your  not  giving

Your  not  serving  the  Lord

On  the  day  you  face  Him

Will  He  judge  or  reward

Now he who plants and he who waters are one,

and each one will receive his own reward

according to his own labor.

1 CORINTHIANS  3 : 8

But whoever has this world’s goods, and

sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him,

how does the love of God abide in him?

HIS TIME

HIS  TIME

To  believe  your  to  busy

To  give  your  precious  time

I  thought  you  should  know

God  thinks  that’s  a  crime

God  taught  me  what  a  lesson

That  my  time  belongs  to  Him

Not  sharing  His  time  with  others

His  light  in  me  grows  dim

God  always  gives  His  time  to us

He  asked  we  do  the  same

One  day  He  might  just  ask  you

Did  you  catch  that  angel’s  name

1 Let brotherly love continue.

2  Do not forget to entertain strangers,

for by so doing some have

unwittingly entertained angels.

THROUGH THE STORM

THROUGH  THE  STORM

As  you’re  going  through  the  storm

At  evil  don’t  you  stare

Go  inside  and  hide  your  face

Give  a  silent  prayer

Your  life  is  His  you  know

Let  Jesus  take  control

As  the  devil  blows  on  through

You  won’t  be  added  to  his  toll

Always  trust  the  Lord

Bowing  down  to  Him

No  matter  what  the  storm  is

Trust  the  Lord  to  win

Putting  God’s  full  armor  on

See  the  power  of  His  might

He  died  and  rose  to  heaven

It’s  for  you  that  He  will  fight

10  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and

in the power of his might. 11  Put on the whole armor

of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles

of the devil. 12  For we do not wrestle against flesh

and blood, but against principalities, against powers,

against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual

hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13  therefore take up

the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand

in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
