OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW

Out with the old, in with the new.  The seeker sensitive church growth movement churches are doing their best to get rid of the older people (their elders) in the church, for they know God’s word and can’t be deceived by these false teachers. What is so shocking, yesterday I was told of a young woman stating that, we’re getting rid of the old people, with no thought of what she was saying.

Of their fathers and mothers in Christ, (their elders) these spoiled children want them gone, so they can have their own way.

For God commanded, saying, ‘Honor your father 

and your mother’;  and, ‘He who curses father or mother, 

let him be put to death.’

MATTHEW 15 : 4

Paul’s Paternal Care

¹⁴ I do not write these things to shame you, 

but as my beloved children I warn you.

¹⁵ For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ,

yet you do not have many fathers;  for in Christ Jesus 

I have begotten you through the gospel.

¹⁶ Therefore I urge you, imitate me.

1 CORINTHIANS 4:14-16

 

Treatment of Church Members

¹ Do not rebuke an older man, but  exhort him as a father, 

younger men as brothers,

² older women as mothers, younger women as sisters, with all purity.

1 TIMOTHY  5 : 1, 2

 
Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, 

and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily 

be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?

HEBREWS  12 : 9

These churches have no respect and no honor of the fathers of God’s church, instead of exhorting them, they are called Pharisees, resisters, and they have driven them out of God’s church. These false leaders have their own plan, their own agenda, so they can’t have the older fathers and mothers in Christ, (their elders) who have studied and know God’s word stand in their way to complete their new vision (plan) for the church, which these fathers and mother built.

¹ “Woe to the rebellious children,” says the LORD,

“Who take counsel, but not of Me,
      And who devise plans, but not of My Spirit,
      That they may add sin to sin;

ISAIAH  30 : 1

So take a look around your church and see if the older generation is starting to disappear, if so, your church is following after the purpose driven, seeker sensitive church growth movement.

These leaders believe if you give the young what they want, make them feel good, and entertain them, they will come. And they will come and bring their money with them.

 
They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, 

and the world hears them.

1 JOHN  4 : 5

For if the younger generation does not honor and respect the fathers and mothers in Christ, (their elders) in God’s church, they are disobeying God’s word.

⁵ Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders.

Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for

“ God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”
