IN VAIN

IN  VAIN
 
God is watching
Seeing all that we do
Would you do what you’re doing
If God stood before you
 
Every idle word you speak
From the heart they stem
God hears every word
Will they justify or condemn
 
They claim to be Christian
Yet use God’s name in vain
Some use initials instead
You know that’s the same
 
Will you use God’s name in vain
When standing before His Son
Knowing Jesus will judge us
Each and everyone
 
 
The Lord looks from heaven;
He sees all the sons of men.

He who planted the ear, shall He not hear?
He who formed the eye, shall He not see?

³⁶ But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will
give account of it in the day of judgment.³⁷ For by your words you
will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for
the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
