RUN THE RACE

RUN  THE  RACE

 

When  I  read  Your  word

I  learn  something  new

And  it  always  brings  me

Closer  to  You

 

While  on  this  earth

I’ll  run  the  race

I’ll  fight  the  good  fight

Till  we  meet  face  to  face

 

It  is  your  word

That  leads  the  way

To  stay  on  your  path

I  need  everyday

 

I’ve  kept  the  faith

Your  word  I  hold  dear

But  it’s  you  my  Jesus

I  wait  to  appear

 

7 I have fought the good  fight,

I have finished the race, I have kept

the faith. 8 Finally, there is laid up

for me the crown of righteousness,

which the Lord, the righteous Judge,

will give to me on that Day, and

not to me only but also to all

who have loved His appearing.
