I’M HIS

I’M  HIS

I’m God’s, He claimed me

He knew me from the start

With all the troubles of my youth

I even broke His heart

God was with me everyday

Even though I couldn’t see

No matter what I did that day

He took good care of me

He knew one day I’d turn around

And come running to His side

He’d take and wash my sins away

So there’s nothing left to hide

I wish it hadn’t taken so long

For me to see the truth

That God was there and always cared

I missed Him in my youth

Now my soul has found its home

With Jesus I will stay

Safe within His loving arms

My soul will never stray

For you were like sheep going astray,

but have now returned to the Shepherd

and overseer of your souls.
