PROMISES

God will keep all

The promises that He made

When it comes to your word

Will your promises fad

You asked God to be

Your witness from above

As you made your vow

To the one you love

In front of God

You said you’d be true

If you lie to them

You lie to God too

You said it won’t hurt them

What they don’t know

God said I’ll know you

By the seeds that you sow

He knows and sees all

Adultery is a lie

You can count on God’s judgment

His promise from high

Marriage is honorable among all,

and the bed undefiled, but fornicators

and adulterer God will judge.
