BUSHY  TAILED  MOUSE

 

I  hear  a  little  angel

Running  through  the  house

I  get  a  little  glimpse

Of  a  bushy  tailed  mouse

 

She’s  running  here  to  there

To  put  some  aside

The  nut  in  her  mouth

In  God’s  house  she’ll  hide

 

She’ll  put  it  in  God’s  storehouse

For  it’s  her  guarantee

To  be  prepared  for  winter

God  taught  her  to  be

 

Be  it  squirrel  or  man

God  supplies  the  need

A  nut  or  a  word

They’re  both  God’s  seed

 

⁶ Go to the ant, you sluggard!
Consider her ways and be wise,
⁷ Which, having no captain, Overseer or ruler,
⁸ Provides her supplies in the summer,
And gathers her food in the harvest.
