NEVER  ALONE

 

I knew it was coming

It was no surprise

When death comes knocking

There’s no where to hide

 

No one ever explained

The feelings to come

I couldn’t even tell you

Where they came from

 

It’s like someone reached in

And ripped out your soul

The numbness surrounds you

Death takes its toll

 

Then comes the emptiness

It overwhelms you

You’ve cried and begged

God take me too

 

God how can I live

When I feel so alone

I kept asking You please

Let me come home

 

God understood

He saw through my tears

He feels what I feel

All of my fears

 

But through my tears

I started to see

I was never alone

Jesus was always with me

 

“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
