PHARISEES

 

Who  are  you  afraid  of  offending

You’ve  changed  God’s  written  word

From  all  men  to  all  persons

Of  course  you  know  God  heard

 

While  they  love  to  fast  and  pray

And  God  they  claim  to  know

Saying  look  at  all  I’m  do

They’re  doing  all  for  show

 

You  see  them  twist  God’s  word

So  the  sinners  they  will  please

Not  wanting  to  offend  them

They  do  it  all  with  ease

 

If  you  can’t  accept  God’s  word

He  knows  you  don’t  believe

Take  a  good  look  in  the  mirror

A  Pharisee  is  what  you’ll  see

 

² You shall not add to the word which I command you,

nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments

of the Lord your God which I command you.

DEUTERONOMY 4:2

 

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!

For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte,

and when he is won, you make him twice

as much a son of hell as yourselves.
