TORN
IN PIECES
So many
denominations
Lord what
have we done
We’ve torn
you in pieces
When we
should have been
one
We’ve depended
on others
To teach
us your word
And we
keep going back
To be
reassured
What will
it take Lord
Till it’s
You they desire
And not
some religion
Once a
week they admire
For everyday
of our lives
Your word
we should read
So we
always remember
It’s Jesus we need
And in vain they worship Me,
Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ ”

3 If anyone teaches otherwise and does not
consent to wholesome words,
even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the
doctrine which accords
with godliness, 4 he
is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes
and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife,
reviling, evil suspicions,
5 useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds
and destitute of the truth, who
suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.
